A quick competition and a new title for the French Zoulous

National championships took place in Caen from Thursday from 15 to Saturday 17 December 2016. This competition gathered all skating disciplines as figure skating, ice dance, ballet and Senior synchro teams.

In synchronized skating, only one team was involved: Zoulous. So, the competition went quickly. At 8:45 AM, the team had 30 min of official practice (for short and free) and a few minutes later, the event started. This year, Zoulous skate their short program on a « Modern Dracula » music. They earned for this program a score of 46.84 points (TES: 22.24).



A few hours later, Zoulous presented their free program to the public and the judges. It was the very first time that the team competed with this program. On the theme of « Route 66 », the free program was well executed and the team did a total of 86.58 points (TES. 36.05 points). For their two programs, Zoulous earned a total of 133.42 points.

In the evening, Zoulous celebrated their new medal with all the others champions of this competition. This is the 6th national title in a row for this team. Since its creation in 1991, Zoulous have got about 10 national distinctions.

At about 8:30 PM, the traditional champions show closed the competition and the most important event for the Zoulous, the French synchro ambassadors.
