Spirit and Convivium selected to represent Sweden at the Junior Worlds

The second national qualifications took place last weekend in Mölndal, Sweden. It was an important competition the Juniors Swedish teams who could qualify for the next Worlds in Canada.
In the Novice’s category, Team Karisma from Gothenburg did the best score this weekend (46.52 points). Representing Kungsbacka, Team Together finished 0.41 points behind at the 2nd place with a total of 46.11 points. The Novice’s bronze medalist is Team Seaflowers who earned 43.99 points for the free program.
At the 4th place: Team Harmony with 33.39 points. The 5th and 6th teams, Team Limelight and Team Magic, were very close to each other with a free program around 30 points.
By Juniors, the local Team Spirit received the gold medal in Mölndal. They got a total of 134.06 points for their two programs. Team Convivium from Gothenburg took the silver with a total of 132.25 points. Team Nova placed 3rd (114.52 points). Team Rhapsody skated also in this division. This team earned a total of 77.92 points.
This competition was the final qualification for the Juniors. Team Spirit and Team Convivium are already qualified to represent Sweden at the next World Championships. This major event will take place from 10 to 11 March 2017 in Mississauga, Canada.

Only one Senior team was engaged this weekend. Team Boomerang skated a clean short program (55.36 points). Their score for the free program was 87.87 points (total score: 143.23 points).
All Swedish teams are now preparing for the 2017 national championships. There are still seven weeks until this event that will be organized from 25 to 26 February in the Swedish city of Borås.
