Germany and USA want to get the gold medals in Zagreb

The first day of the 2017 Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy went great! Advanced Novice, Junior, and Senior teams showed their performances on Saturday.

In the Advanced Novice’s category, there were 4 teams engaged. The gold medal was won by Team Berlin from Germany with 47,44 points. Silver medal went to the Finnish Team Soleil (34,55 points) and the bronze medal to the local team of this competition – Zagreb Snowflakes.

At the Junior level, Team Starlights from the USA is provisionally first with 45,15 points, but Team Berlin Junior is very close with 44,74 points. Will places remain the same after the free program? We will discover it on Sunday! Six other Junior teams are also competing this weekend as the Australian Iceskateers, Diamond Laces from Hungary, Team Convivium (Sweden) and two teams from Italy (Ladybirds and Shining Blades).

In the Senior field also, Team USA is holding the first place. From all 7 senior teams Skyliners showed their best winning 52,73 points. Team Berlin 1 from Germany, Team Passion from Hungary, Flying Angels from Italy, Sweet Mozart from Austria and Ice Storm from Australia will also try to move up in the rankings.

On Sunday, the competition will start at 3:15 p.m. (Croatian time) with the Mixed Age teams (Tyrol Diamonds – Austria, Zagreb Snowflakes – Croatia, Starlets – Germany, Sport Magic – Hungary, Black Rose – Hungary, Shining Blades – Italy, Mini Shining Blades – Italy).

It will continue with Juvenile teams at 4:20 p.m. and then just two Basic Novice teams at 4:50 p.m. After that, the Junior and Senior teams will present their free programs!
