Everything is ready for Winter Cup

The preparations have started at the little ice rink of Gullegem in Belgium, for the second ISU competition of the season. 30 teams from 8 different countries will compete on Friday and Saturday.

By the Seniors, four teams will compete in Gullegem this year. Team Phoenix from Belgium, Team Amber from Latvia, Team Illumination from the Netherlands and this will be the second international competition for the British Team Viola.

In the Junior category, six teams will be fighting. There are from Sweden, Switzerland, France and Great Britain. This will be one of the most interesting division this year. For the French teams, this competition will count as a qualifier for Junior Worlds.

Interclub competitions will present the programs of Junior B, Mixed Age, Adult, Basic Novice and Juvenile teams. Around 20 teams from Belgium, Great Britain, Poland and the Netherlands will be skating in these divisions.

Winter Cup will start on Friday 24/11 at 11:00 AM for the official practice. The competition will continue with the Junior and Senior short programs (3:00 PM to 5:20 PM). Teams will present their free skate on Saturday.
