Practising in Italy near Milan, Shining Blades are a synchro family consisting of four teams from different levels. After Trento Cup a few days ago, the captain of the junior team speaks about the actual situation.

Shining Blades junior team came back their ice rink in Assago (MI) after their first competition of the season in Trento. After a good competition start, which allowed them to reach the 3rd place, they are training hard. Their gold is to obtain the minimum technical scores at Nationals that will take place in Rome next December. In Italy, the teams have to reach a minimum of technical points to participate in the international competitions.

“The team is new and young but I’m very proud of them. The girls showed courage and confidence during this first competition. The programs are beautiful, the dresses even more, and thanks to the encouragement of our parents, we skated with our hearts out”, said Giulia Piacentini, the captain of the junior team.

After the meeting between coaches and judges, who gave them useful advice, the skaters are determined to grow up together improving some elements and working on synchronicity.

Giulia, with a smile on her face, closed the interview by saying that she hopes this first competition was the first step towards a very wonderful season.
