Last Sunday was an incredible day for Chicago Jazz Junior. The team skated in an exhibition at Skate America, which is an important international figure skating competition held this year in Illinois State, USA.

« We were the only synchro team performing at this exhibition. We were picked to skate because we had a great 2015-2016 season. Coming off with two international winning titles from Switzerland and Italy and also winning the 2016 US National Championships », said a team member. Chicago Jazz Junior skated to their short program from last year, on the Chicago’s theme.

After the skate, the team was honored to get a picture with Gracie Gold, Jason Brown, Ashley Wagner and Adam Rippon, some famous individual skater in the USA. Ashley Wagner is the 2016 World silver medalist and Adam Rippon is the 2016 U.S. national champion.

« Ashley and Adam wanted to take a picture of a reenactment of our Kiss and Cry from Nationals because they recognized us from US Figure Skating post. It turned out to be a great exhibition full of love and support», add a Chicago Jazz’s skater.

Skate America is held as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. It is hosted by U.S. Figure Skating and has four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
