Novice synchro skaters from Russia competed in Moscow

The season is not over yet for young Russian skaters. From the 30 to the 31 of March, the 2019 Moscow Cup for Novice categories took place in the Russian capital. 15 teams from all over the country have performed their free program in the Ice Palace “Dream”. Let’s take a look at this competition! 

The competitions started with the Basic Novice division, standing out by 8 teams. They all performed well, however, the 1st place has been taken by Team Fleur-de-Lys-2 from Gubkin with 38,27 points. They showed an artistic and emotional program. Only one point separated Ekaterinburg’s Team Junost – PreNovice from the victory. The skaters performed well and took the audience to the world of Africa. Team Junost earned 37,25 points and earned the 2nd place. Team Young Yamal from Salekhard finished in 3rd with 36,87 points.

Then Advanced Novice started to compete. Seven teams presented their free programs. The strong leadership was grabbed by Moscow’s team Ice Fantasy that got a huge total of 72,47 points. During the performance, skaters literally turned into mermaids. Their wonderful dresses perfectly went with the theme of the marine program. Team Fleur-de-Lys from Gubkin took the second place with 64,15 points and Team Juventus from Kursk earned 54,05 points and came third.

Traditionally, the Moscow Cup for Novice categories finishes by a flash-mob. All participants got out on the ice to dance together! It’s important to mention that this is the only Russian competition, which organizes such an activity.

Moscow Cup for Novice categories was full of amazing performers. All young skaters did their best and made a good impression on the judges and the audience.
