On Friday, December 13, Lucia Day was celebrated in Finland. Helsinki Figure Skating Club organized an Lucia-themed event in the Ice Park, which is an outdoor skating rink in the center of Helsinki. Team Fintastic and Helsinki Rockettes performed at this event.

Lucia Day is a Christian feast day which is celebrated commemorating a martyr, Lucia of Syracuse. The day is also a celebration of light. Lucia brings the light during the darkest time of the year.

The event included performances of synchronized skating teams from Helsinki.

The evening culminated when Helsinki Rockettes and Team Fintastic performed together dressing up as Lucia and carrying candles.

The performance looked stunning in the middle of a dark city. After the performances, the audience also got to skate and the event was visited by Santa.

The end of year celebrations are fast approaching.

The Jura Synchro team wishes you all the best for the Christmas preparations!
