More than 200 points for the Junior winner!

A total of 37 Russian teams competed a few days ago at the Volga Cup, the third stage of the Russian Cup. Team Tatarstan won the gold in the Senior division, and Team Junost finished first in the Junior competition and looked solid on the ice.

In the Senior division, with the absence of Team Paradise and Crystal Ice, two teams competed.

Tatarstan claimed the gold medal. The team put out two good programs, collecting level 3 and 4for each element. They struggled with the Pivot Block in the Short Program and lost a few GOEs, but their Free Skate was strong and well-executed. They got a total of 202.42.

After a fall at the end of the Short Program, Dream Team skated a good Free Program and got 154.14.



Eight teams skated in the Junior field.

The ISU Junior World Champions 2018 and 2019, Team Junost, delivered two excellent programs. The skaters got many level fours and the judges rewarded the athletes for their great execution. They even reached 9,50 in the program components. Junost exceeded 200 points for both programs.

Sunrise 1 picked up the silver medal, and Team Pearl stood in third place.



Sunrise 2 also won the Advanced Novice division with a score of 81.17. This category gathered 16 teams from all over the country! Junost scored 80.08 and took the silver title, and Sunrise 3 came third with a total of 79.80. 

In the Basic Novice category, 11 teams competed. Golden Prize earned the gold medal (46.25), Junost ranked second (43.94) and the bronze went to Zilant (39.00).
