Spring Cup 2019: The World came to Italy for the 25th edition

Italy once again charmed several synchronized skating teams who competed last weekend in Milan in Advanced Novice, Junior and Senior. The competition also celebrated the 25th anniversary of its creation.

A few days ago, team Adrian College Varsity from the USA, competed at the French Cup in Rouen. This has been Tara Tahil, a skater in this team, first international competition ever. She shares with us her experience.

The first day at French Cup ended in an exciting situation

The 25th French Cup started in a good atmosphere, as so many times before. It empowered the performances of the top teams so that in Senior category the five top teams are within 2.51 points after the short program while Team Paradise from Russia is leading the competition. In the Junior division, the tight fight for the victory should be between Dream Edges (FIN) and Junost (RUS). The difference between the two teams is only 0.18 points. Team Dynamique (FIN) captured the win in the Advanced Novice category.


A taste of competition before the French National Championships

Last weekend the French Interligues took place at the skating rink of Dunkerque. It was a good opportunity for synchro teams to officially present their program in competition before the first round of the national championships of France to be held in Romorantin on January 19th. From the Juvenile to Adult category, it was then seven French clubs that were competing and also a Belgian team.

Throwback to French nationals and “Stars de la Glace” show for Les Zoulous

Three weeks after their first ISU win, (Winter Cup in Belgium), Les Zoulous were crowned national champions for the 18th time of their story. The competition meets a total of 6 different disciplines and took place December 13th to December 16th in the ski resort of Vaujany. Only synchronized skating representatives, Les Zoulous logically finished at the first place.

First Amber Cup: Synchro skating develops in the Baltic countries

The previous weekend, 14-15th of December, the history of synchro in Latvia was made. The first synchronized skating competition with ISU status and judges was held in Riga, Kurbads Ice Rink. Kurbads is the newest ice rink in Latvia and the home rink of only synchronized skating club in Latvia – Amber.

The second day of Winter Cup 2018 competition set the stage for Basic Novice, Pre Juvenile, Senior B, Juvenile, Junior ISU and Senior ISU teams to demonstrate their best to judges.
