Marigold IceUnity and Rockettes will represent Finland in Colorado Springs

After an exciting weekend in Espoo, the Finnish Champions are now settled. It is also clear who will represent Finland in the World Synchronized Skating Championships in April. The competition has been a real nail biter and the top teams have all been very close to each other in the points.


Rockettes leads Finnish Nationals after the short programs

Saturday night culminated in Senior’s short program in Espoo Metro Arena. All the three best teams exceeded 70 points in their short program and they are within three points before the drama will continue on Sunday. Every of them has still a fair chance to win the whole competition.

Ten countries, three medalists at the 2017 French Cup

Like a Saturday night fever. 13 Senior teams took part in the 2017 French Cup Free Event. For the competitors, the goal was to improved their rankings. Russia and Finland dominated the competition.

Team Paradise finished 1st after the short

French Cup 2017: Thirteen Senior teams skated their free program on Friday evening. The Russian Team Paradise did the best score with a total of 72.68 points. Two teams from Finland complete this provisional podium.

Last rehearsal for the Finnish teams at Helsinki Regionals

Exactly 60 teams took part in Helsinki regionals last Sunday. More than 1200 skaters from ten different categories skated in the Arena. The day was made from good spirit, cheers, and joy.

Marigold and Team Fintastic, winners of the 2nd qualifications in Finland

Sunday the 4th of December was the day 2 of the Finnish second qualifications. In Junior category, it was the day of Team Fintastic and Musketeers. They earned places to World Junior Synchronized Skating Competition in Canada next spring. Marigold Ice Unity was the winner in the Senior category.

Rockettes tops Senior category after short programs

The second qualifications in Finland are going on 3.-4.12.2016. The battle towards Senior's World Championships in the USA gets more and more exiting. After the short program, the gap in points is extremely small. Two Juniors representatives to World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships in Canada 2017 will be chosen on Sunday. All the twelve Novice teams to the Finnish Nationals are now selected.

Rockettes finished top of the first Senior qualifications in Finland

Day 2 for the Finnish teams. They competed this weekend at the first national qualifications in Helsinki. This is an important step for the teams who are dreaming to represent Finland in the next Senior World Championships in Colorado Springs.
