The 3rd stage of the Russian Cup took place in Togliatti a few days ago. Thirteen novices, ten juniors and 4 senior teams presented their programs. The competitions were really exciting and, definitely, worth watching. So, let’s see how it was!
A total of 37 Russian teams competed a few days ago at the Volga Cup, the third stage of the Russian Cup. Team Tatarstan won the gold in the Senior division, and Team Junost finished first in the Junior competition and looked solid on the ice.
A total of 18 teams competed last weekend in Samara, Russia, at the «Samarochka» event. The synchro teams were divided into four different categories.
The four Senior teams skating at the Winter Universiade this weekend in Russia presented their free program. The victory went to Team Unique, but their score was not enough to reverse the trend and qualify for the 2019 World Championship. Finally, Marigold IceUnity will skate as Team Finland 2.
Friday, March 8, was the first event of Synchronized skating competition in the Winter Universiade 2019, which are arranged in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Four Senior teams are competing.
The previous weekend, 14-15th of December, the history of synchro in Latvia was made. The first synchronized skating competition with ISU status and judges was held in Riga, Kurbads Ice Rink. Kurbads is the newest ice rink in Latvia and the home rink of only synchronized skating club in Latvia – Amber.
The last stage of the Russian Cup took place in Tolyatti at the beginning of the week. 39 teams competed in Senior, Junior, Advanced and Basic Novice categories. For Junior and Advanced Novice teams, it was the last chance to receive the ticket to the National Championships, which will be held 11-13 January in Yoshkar-Ola.
Autumn is the most expected time of the year for all the Synchro lovers in Russia. The reason for that is presented in the fact that the competition season 2018-2019 was recently launched in Russia. Everyone was looking forward to performing at the first Stage of the Russian Cup, which took place in Moscow from the 3rd to the 4th of November. During those days the ice palace Dream permeated with a festive atmosphere and the stands were joyful.
The national championships of Russia held in Yoshkar-Ola this Friday and Saturday. 27 teams competed in 3 categories: senior, junior and advanced novice. Besides the very high level of the novices, this competition also selected the senior and junior teams who will skate at the next World Championships.
This weekend in Moscow was the last competition of the season for the Russian teams. It was the Final of Russian Cup and 29 teams from different cities took part in this competition.
