The Suprêmes Senior and Junior are in the lead after the first day, especially after almost two years of pandemic. How do you feel?

Marilyn Langlois (coach) and Laurie Désilets (captain of the Suprêmes Seniors): We feel super proud! We skated with our hearts, and we feel a lot of gratitude for being here. It's an incredible feeling to finally be able to share our love for the sport and our work over the past two years. We were so excited to get on the ice and reconnect with our community after all this time.

You achieved a positive and rhythmic performance in Senior with a short program dedicated to Aretha Franklin. Can you tell us more about the creation of this program?

Our short program is a tribute to Aretha Franklin, a strong and inspiring woman who broke barriers. Her music brings us together. After what we've all been through, Aretha has inspired us to do the same.

On Saturday, the goal will be to maintain this first position. Are you confident?

Our goal will be to continue having a lot of fun together! We want to enjoy every little moment. We will do the same as in practice, the same as at home. Today is a new day and we look forward to sharing our free programs with you.
