There was some drama and excitement in the senior competition on Sunday when both Team Unique and Helsinki Rockettes had falls in their free programs.

Team Unique didn´t look very pleased waiting for the scores in the “Kiss and Cry“ corner after they had two falls in the “He had it coming” program and couldn´t reach all the points they were after. Anyway, their little disappointment turned into a victory celebration when the scores 143.24 and total points 221.17 were enough to win the Finnish national championship.

Also, the Helsinki Rockettes couldn´t show their best performance because of a fall just before the Group Lift element in their “Criminal” free program. They got 142.11. points for their performance and got the silver medal, getting 220.75 points overall.

Marigold IceUnity ended its season by finishing in third place. There were no mistakes in their free program, “Sandstorm,” and it brought them 142.41 points. Their total score was 212.83.

Lumineers skated their “Frida” with passion, but it wasn´t enough to finish on the podium. They earned 137.58 points for it and got fourth place with a total of 208.07 points.

Dream Edges claimed gold!
Kaarina’s team has been crowned the 2025 national junior champion, reclaiming the title for the first time since 2019! Dream Edges delivered its best free program of the season, earning 122.29 points and bringing its total score to 194.85. Despite this gold-medal performance, the team’s season ends here, as it did not qualify for the Junior Worlds next weekend in Sweden.

One of the happiest teams of the day was Team Mystique. They took the second place while the free program “Savage Daughter” earned them new SB 120.81 points, and their overall result was 189.01.

After a challenging Saturday, Valley Bay Synchro delivered a strong performance in their dramatic free program "The Swan of Tuonela". Scoring 125.63 points, they achieved their season’s best and the highest free program score of the entire junior competition. With a total of 188.29 points, they secured third place.

The Musketeers could not hold on to Saturday´s third position. Their “The Brothers Lionheart” program was flawless, but 117.74 points wasn´t enough, and they ended up in fourth place with a final score of 186.84 points.

Sunday wasn´t a lucky day for Team Fintastic. Two falls in the intersection element cost them a lot, and their program “Dragon” was awarded only 114.38 points. The team scored 168.41 points and came fifth.
