The International Skating Union (ISU) Council published on Friday the provisional allotments of the following ISU Championships for the seasons 2020/21 and 2021/22.

After 2020 Synchronized Skating World Championships in Lake Placid (USA) from April 3rd to 5th, the ISU has accepted the candidature of Zagreb (CRO) for the 2021 Synchro Worlds. The event will take place from April 8th to 10th in Croatia. Zagreb has already hosted World Synchronized Skating Championships in 2004 and 2009.

For the year 2022, the World Synchronized Skating Championships will return to Hamilton, Canada. Seven years after their first organization, the city located in the province of Ontario will once again be the heart of the Synchronized Skating World. As a reminder, in 2015 in Hamilton, Nexxice Senior team was crowned World Champion in its own country. In 2022, the Worlds in Canada will be held from April 7th to 9th. Book your dates!

"We’ll try again"
The Organization Committee of Mozart Cup in Austria had also applied for the 2022 Worlds in Salzburg. "Congrats to Skate Canada for achieving #WorldSynchro 2022, we’ll try again!", wrote the Austrians yesterday on their Facebook page.

The allotments of all other championships are kept pending until the next scheduled ISU Council and will be revealed probably next October.
