Representing Finland, Helsinki Rockettes dominated the 2019 Shanghai Trophy in China. The results were tighter between the three other teams which competed only with their free programs.

With only four participating teams, the Shanghai Trophy officially launched the season of international competitions on Friday in China.

Highly anticipated, the Helsinki Rockettes logically finished first in the competition. The team, led by Kaisa Arrateig, presented for the first time this season, its new free program called "Wounded Angel". Thanks to a very clean program, the Helsinki Rockettes earned a total of 143.61 points.

With two falls in the second half of the program, Team Ice on Fire finished second. The Italians scored a total of 69.30 points. Team Unity, from Australia, also had two falls and finished third (60.80 points).

The new Chinese team, Team Ice Pearl, which skated internationally or the first time at the last World Championships in Helsinki, performed a clean program. They took fourth place with a total of 54.78 points.
