Being the first synchro event on the ISU calendar, the Shanghai Trophy unveiled the 2024-25 competition season this weekend. The event was senior-level only. The Finnish Helsinki Rockettes, German Team Berlin 1, Hungarian Team Passion and Polish Team Ice Fire Senior came to China to participate in this event. They took the ice on 4 and 5 October.
