The Finnish Synchro Tour started today in Helsinki with an evening short-program event, marking the official start of the 2025–26 season for the ISU Senior and Junior teams. The series runs across multiple stops through winter and will conclude at the Finnish Championships, where the overall Tour winners are determined.
The opening stop took place at Helsingin jäähalli (Helsinki Ice Hall) on Sunday, October 5, featuring short programs for both the Juniors and Seniors ISU. A separate Preseason segment for the Novices was scheduled earlier in the day.
The Synchro Tour is a non-official and domestic series for ISU Senior and Junior teams in Finland designed to build a season-long storyline and increase the sport’s visibility.
Each short program and each free skate counts as its own Tour competition, and points from every stage are added up. The overall standings are finalized at the Finnish Championships, where performances carry a higher points value than other stops.

Senior competition really moved from one atmosphere to another, with the teams relying on different but familiar music in the programs. For exemple the Helsinki Rockettes that won the Senior competition skated for the first time their powerful program “O Fortuna” based on the medieval collection of Carmina Burana. With their good technical skills they got the best overall score of 78.42.
Team Unique came second. The team skated their lyric, delicate yet strong program "Nothing Compares TU" to the familiar song by the late Sinéad O'Connor and received a total of 76.51 points. The precise and careful presentation conveyed good self-confidence.

In contrast to the sad song of Sinéad, Marigold IceUnity took the audience on a fast-paced cabaret-style ride with cheerful “I can can can!” performance, but unfortunately they stumbled a couple of times and that broke the performance. They got 65.59 points and third place.
Team Lumineers had chosen Kate Bush's “Wuthering Heights” as their music and theme. They skated beautifully and flawlessly, but the points were not enough for medals. With 62.90 points, they finished fourth.
Team Mystique presented a powerful “Jukebox” programTeam Lumineers had chosen Kate Bush's “Wuthering Heights” as their music and theme. They skated beautifully and flawlessly, but the points were not enough for medals. With 62.90 points, they finished fourth.
The level of the best teams in the junior league has remained unchanged, the top four standing out as a group of their own. The points differences between them were very small, all four teams finished within one point
The winner of the Junior category was Team Mystique. They had a really good time skating their entertaining “Jukebox” program. Good speed and varied choreography kept the audience interested and the jury awarded them 62.26 points.
