Neuchâtel Trophy 2023 opened in Switzerland on Saturday afternoon.
The Helsinki Rockettes got the best total on Saturday evening in Neuchâtel. In the Junior category, Dream Edges is in the lead!
In the Seniors category, the competition was thrilling and of a high level. The Helsinki Rockettes took a big lead by finishing Saturday's competition with 77.52 points. It's more than 5 points over their opponents Marigold IceUnity, 2nd with 72.18.
Skating her short program "Breathe", Rockettes won the hearts of fans and panel alike by skating flawlessly and with her own originality. For example, the team started its program lying on the ice!
Marigold IceUnity also charmed the audience with "Who's there?! ", a dark and intense program but very well executed despite a fall.

Behind the Finns are Teams Elites and the Skyliners who represent the United States. These teams will fight for a medal on Sunday. The new Teams Elite (71.04) surprised by presenting "Hypnotized" a program full of exciting elements. Skyliners for their part skated to Britney Spears' "Crazy" making fans sing in the stands!
Among the teams also stood out. Team Ice on Fire (Italy) and its powerful and original program on songs by Beyonce and also Team Jeanne d'Arc, the champions of France, for their overflowing energy during their performance. Starlight Elite (SUI) skated its program "Autumn" in elegant dresses.

In Juniors, the two Finnish teams, Dream Edges and Team Fintastic are currently at the top spot after the short programs. Dressed in light blue, Dream Edges presented “Ode to Joy,” a clean and graceful performance earning 70.43 points. Team Fintastic, despite two falls, delivered an inspiring and precise program called “Thunderbird”.
Teams Elite junior provisionally ranks 3rd with 66.26. A total of ten junior teams are entered for this stage of the Challenger Series.

In the Advanced Novices field, Cool Dreams won the competition with 63.71 points. Starlight from Zürich finished second with 49.34 and the young Team Ruby from Basel won bronze (46.22).
