Here are the teams you'll see at the Senior Worlds this weekend!

Just a few hours remain before the ISU World Synchronized Championships 2024 starts. The competition, which will take place in Zagreb, Croatia, will feature 21 teams from 17 different countries. Let's take a look ahead of the kickoff!

"A real closure" for Márti and Rita after 20 years of synchro skating

Márti Afonyi, 27, and Rita Farkas, 26, are two Hungarian synchronized skaters who finished their long careers in the country's national team, Team Passion, this year—for the second time. Originally quitting already in 2021, exhausted by the pandemic and new life changes, they both then decided to return for one more year for the 2022-2023 season which turned out to be a great Hungarian success story. In this interview, the girls reflect on their personal journey as well as their team's journey to the synchronized skating elite and share their biggest takeaways from the sport.

2022, the level is already high

The victory, they wanted it and they got it. After beating Team Paradise a few weeks ago, the senior team Tatarstan from Russia won again at the first stage of the Challenger Series in Poland. Crystal Ice (RUS) and Dream Edges from Finland got the silver and the bronze, ending with tight scores.

Team Unique (FIN), double winner!

An exciting weekend took place in Italy where the 4th and last stage of the Challenger Series was organized during the Spring Cup. The Finnish Team Unique confirmed their lead in the senior competition, Junost (RUS) won the junior event. Recap of this crazy day, team after team.

Leon Lurje Trophy 2020: The Personal Best Scores Edition!

On Saturday, Seniors and Juniors performed their free skating programs in Gothenburg, Sweden. Team Paradise and Team Sunrise 1 from Russia won the categories. Advanced Novices’ competition began and Team Sunrise 2 from Russia leads clearly. Leon Lurje Trophy 2020 was also the opportunity for many teams to set a new personal record!
