The first synchro competitions will resume in about three months, with the highlight being the 2024 Junior and Senior World Championships. Do you know which countries can send two teams next year?

The Junior World championships will take place in March 2024 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, as in 2019 (look at the results here). Next season, the following countries will be entitled to two teams in the event:   

     - Finland    
     - Canada      
     - United States      
     - Italy     
     - Poland 

In the Senior category, five countries will compete with two teams. For 2024, they are : 

     - Canada
     - Finland
     - United States
     - Hungary 
     - Germany

The Senior Worlds will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, on April 5 and 6, 2024. 

1. Sweden is very close to having a second team at the Worlds. The yellow-and-blue country is ranked 6th in the world in both the junior and senior categories.

2. In 2023, Poland competed with one team in the junior category, although it was eligible for two. However, the country had no other teams to send. In this case, however, it is not permissible to allow the "next" country in the world rankings to take up a place.

3. For the time being, with the exception of those countries which have several teams and are organizing a selection, there are no minimum criteria for taking part in the World Championships. A team can therefore enter if it does so within the allotted time.  "We haven't set a minimum because there aren't enough countries taking part in the Worlds yet," says Philippe Maitrot, Chairman of the ISU Commission.
