Team Unique leads the first Finnish qualifiers by a narrow lead

The first national qualifiers take place this weekend in Finland. In the Senior division, Team Unique finished in the top spot after the short programs. Valley Bay Synchro leads in the Junior category.

A highlight in the Finnish synchro season: the 1st qualifications have arrived!

Novices
In the Novice category, a first group of eight teams competed on Saturday with their free programs. Team Finettes from Helsinki kicked off their season with a crushing victory thanks to their new program "The daughter of the sea", totalling 87.46 points.

Blue Arrows (75.87) and Team Dynamique (71.18) completed the podium.

Juniors
In the Junior event, Valley Bay Synchro took the lead in the first qualifying competition. Their short program, this year entitled "Another Dimension", earned them a total of 68.68 points.

Team Fintastic is currently in 2nd place, not far behind with 67.87 points. Dream Edges Junior is in 3rd place after the first day (61.88). Team Mystique (60.51) and Musketeers (59.91) are currently 4th and 5th.

Seniors
In the Senior category, the competition is extremely tight. Team Unique is leading with their new short program "Let It Be". Helsinki Rockettes had to reckon with a fall at the start of the program in the Artistic Wheel element. The team came 2nd with 69.38 points.

Marigold IceUnity and their program "Some Like It Hot" skated in colourful dresses and totalled 69.11 points. Lumineers, back in the Seniors category, finished 4th (63.41).

Competition continues on Sunday with the Juniors and Seniors free programs, as well as the 2nd Novices group from 3pm (local time).
