Canada, the United States, Finland and France were awarded a medal this weekend at the French Cup. Here is what happened!


The French Cup 2023 has started!

The 28th French Cup opened Friday in Rouen, France. Synchro teams from Europe and North America competed.

And that's two for the Helsinki Rockettes!

The Leon Lurje Trophy ended on Saturday evening in Sweden. The Helsinki Rockettes added a 2nd Challenger Series victory in the Senior category. Their little sisters, Team Fintastic, are the Junior champions.

A tight competition, especially among Juniors

The third stage of the Challenger Series, the Leon Lurje Trophy, started on Friday in Sweden. The Finnish teams are at the top of the ranking, followed by Canada and the United States.

One skating club got all the gold medals!

Helsingin Taitoluisteluklubi (HTK) was the most successful skating club in the second national qualifications this weekend in Espoo, Finland. They claimed all the gold medals as Helsinki Rockettes in Seniors, Team Fintastic in Juniors and Finettes in Novice category won their competitions.

Very tight scores after the first day of qualifications in Espoo

This weekend, the second qualification competition of ISU synchronized skating in Finland takes place in Espoo. On Saturday, the first group of Novice teams skated their free programs, Seniors and Juniors competed with their short programs. As in November, Helsinki Rockettes in Seniors and Team Fintastic in Juniors are both leading the competition after the first day.

First Senior Elite 12 medals awarded in Finland

For the first time in synchronized skating history, ISU Senior Elite 12 was part of the national qualifications in Finland with Lumineers Synchronized Skating pioneering this section.

Suomi, Finland!

After a very tight short program competition, the two teams, the winner Helsinki Rockettes and the silver medalist Team Unique took a clear lead in the Senior division. They both had perfect executions and no errors. In Junior competition, Musketeers had the best success. It was enough for the second position whereas Team Fintastic won the gold medal.
