Americans and Russians secured top spots in Leon Lurje Trophy 2018

Synchro fans all over the world had their eyes riveted on Sweden hosting this weekend. Almost 40 Debutants, Novices, Juniors and Seniors teams competed in the Frölundaborg Arena in a great atmosphere.


Team Spirit and Team Nova to represent Sweden at Junior Worlds

The second Swedish qualifiers took place this past Saturday and Sunday in Stockholm. Five junior teams were competing for the chance to represent Sweden at the Junior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia in March. 

Shanghai Trophy: Paradise, MIU and Team Surprise on the podium

Gold again for Paradise! The successful Russian took the lead once again in the free skate on Saturday. In Shanghai, Team Paradise did the best score and earned more than two hundred points. Marigold Ice Unity remained the silver medalist and Team Surprise took the bronze.

Paradise comfortably ahead after the short programs in Shanghai

The senior world champion 2017 Team Paradise took the short program's competition in Shanghai Trophy Friday. The Finnish Marigold Ice Unity is provisionaly 2nd, 5.56 points behind. Les Suprêmes, representing Canada, have been rewarded with a 3rd position.


Team Surprise Stars in Sonja Henie biopic

Team Surprise is off to an unusual and exciting start this season, to say the least. The Swedish team has just spent the past two weeks in Romania rehearsing and shooting scenes of Queen of Ice, a Sonja Henie biopic, alongside Finnish skater Kiira Korpi.

You probably saw her on the ice many times but you don’t know that she’s got now a huge function at the ISU. Nathalie Lindqvist is 25 years old and lives in Gothenburg with her partner where she’s working as a financial advisor at Nordea bank. A few months ago, she’s been elected as Synchronized Skating representative ISU Athlete.


With a narrow lead, Paradise confirm their World title

And the gold... for Team Paradise! The Russian team won on Saturday night the ISU Seniors World Synchronized Skating Championships in Colorado Springs, USA. The Finnish Marigold Ice Unity took the silver medal at a few tenths of a point and the Canadian Nexxice received the bronze.

Team Convivium and Team Surprise, 2017 Swedish national champions

Just like Finland, Canada and the United States, Sweden organized its national championships this weekend. It was an exceptional championship with no less than 18 teams and nearly 400 skaters who met in Borås on February 25 and 26. Rising figures that reflect a good development of the discipline in the country.

Four countries are fighting for medals

World Synchronized Skating Championships 2016 started on Friday in Budapest. 26 teams presented their short program in the Syma Hall Arena. Russia 1 finished ahead, follow by Finland, USA and then Canada. Have a look at this long-awaited competition.
